A good or better hard cover book with a shelf worn dust jacket with a large chip missing from the front cover, rubbing and some tears along the fore edges. Textblock secure with a couple of sprung signatures. Interior unmarked and very clean. Out-of-print.

8.25 x 11.5 hard cover book with 128 pages and approx. 225 illustrations, 7 in color. Gordon Forsyth, a Scottish ceramic designer, was the art director of Minton Hollins & Co for some 40 years before taking the same position at Pilkington Tile & Pottery near Manchester. He moved back to Stoke in 1920, to become the Superintendent of Art Instruction for Stoke-on-Trent City Art Schools. He is best known for his Lustre Ware, but also designed stained glass windows for St. Joseph's Roman Catholic church in Burslem in the late 1920s.
